"Honeymooners"
"The week of the gray and green hoodies"
"Orlando, FL"
They all equally sum up our week!
But...
I've always heard when you're on your honeymoon, tell everyone! because people give you honeymoon deals! We really tried every time to figure out just the right way to phrase it...
"Hi we're on our honeymoon and, do you have any special deals for us?..No?.. ok, thanks"
"Hi we're on our honeymoon and, can you decorate our dessert plate cool?"
"...Yaaa, this is actually our honeymoon!.....(silence. No deal offered)"
"well, we are on our honeymoon, soo..."
I'm not sure if we did something wrong, but we didn't discover any of these good deals! But we had fun trying :)
We left Christmas Morning and flew to Florida!
We were a little nervous, because we had heard it was reaching record lows!
oh no.
Sure enough!!
We had a great time though.
We went out to eat. lots
Buca di Beppo has become one of our favorite restaurants while dating!
They will celebrate anything there with you!
we walked around Kissimmee, Florida
When we decided it was just too cold, we went shopping for hoodies at target (got mine for $5)
And we wore those hoodies all week! Talk about feeling frumpy on your honeymoon! But I was sooo grateful for it!
we walked the Universal Studios City Walk
....where Scott's dreams came true as he explored everything Harry Potter
Scott's lighting bolt scar was hurting him in this picture. obviously.
a REAL wand!!!
then we sat in the car and ate terribly disgusting Harry Potter Jelly Beans- my favorite was to watch Scott eat the rotten egg one. That is SO gross! I opted out of eating anything other than tutti fruti or marshmellow.
We went to some outlet malls where I got some sweet new vans to keep my feet warm
vans and minivans
We got a couple's massage.
This was my first massage of my life!!
this, my friends, is a real, live head of a 8-9 ft mother alligator that was just about 2 arm lengths from our boat!
She was hissing and growling.
Her babies were just as close, some 2 feet long, others 6 inches. We could see quite a few!
Very cool.
In the distance you can see the boat we rode on.
Nothing blocked us from reaching over and touching the wild alligators!
It still blows my mind!
We watched lots of movies
Played games
We really wanted to go to the beach, even though it was over an hour away. We got up early one day and drove down to Cocoa Beach where we had one of the most memorial breakfasts of my life! We had read about a famous little breakfast place. It truly was amazing. Strawberries and cream cheese stuffed french toast, eggs benedict, fresh fruit, strawberry milk, hot chocolate with sprinkles... we were in heaven. Then we walked along the beach for a while.
I really could not imagine leaving Florida without a Pina Colada by the pool.
And so we got them! But then took them back to the hotel!
Worth every dollar.
We still occasionally drink from these cups.
My food scientist was extremely interested in stopping by
"Orange World"
"The Biggest Orange in the World"
Scott tried all sorts of different oranges and then we bought a few of his favorites to munch on
We arrived home on Jan 1, 2011
and celebrated our first "Christmas" together in our first little home
