Grateful

You know those moments in life
that stop you in your tracks
and make you realize just how
grateful you are?
I love those.

You may not know this about me, but
I'm slightly obsessed with anything gruesome.
No, I don't actually want to see it,
I just want to know about it.
For instance,
every night I read all the news I can
and the accidents, murders, theft, kidnappings...
all of that just intrigues me.
Wait, that sounds horrible.
It all makes me SO sad, and SO scared.
please understand.
But I can't help myself, I have to read it!
I often have nightmares about it all.
I really need to stop.
But it makes me grateful for my life.

This weekend was one of those "stopped me in my tracks" kind of weekends.
Just when I think something in life is just not fair and too hard I find a little pick-me-up!
I discovered this show on Hulu.com called
BOSTON MED
maybe this is a popular show?
I don't even know.
But I watched all 8 episodes that are out,
and you should too.
Especially episode #8
I'll warn you, the show is a little gruesome at times.
But so worth it- and so interesting!!

I'm truly so grateful for all of my many blessings.
And I have so much respect for Doctors!

Also, when I die someday,
I hope my organs/body can save someone's life.

Life Lately

Hello Blog world, It's been Far too long..
Here are some updates about our Life :)

Last weekend was Scott's "White Coat Ceremony"
I think this event is a major teaser. It felt just like a graduation, yet they are only beginning their journey! But it's to honor the fact that they will now be a part of Clinicals.
These are the moments that help me remember he really will be official in 3 1/2 years!

It's always great to have a reason to celebrate!
Scott's parents came into town for the occasion and afterwards we went to the Grande Lux Cafe and to see the show La Reve.
By the way, everyone should experience La Reve in their life! So cool!

Some other random updates:

A couple of weeks ago I put together a hair care/updo night for the Laurels at church. It was so much fun! When did I get old enough to be the "guest speaker" at Mutual?!

Scott turned 26 last Saturday!! and I forgot to take a picture of his cake and him. fail. But we had one!

Valentine's Day was great! But don't laugh...
I was having a weird day, and truly the only thing I wanted to do was relax after work.
No presents, no stress, no brain usage.
So, we decided to go through the In N Out Drive thru, and then we came home and watched Who Wants to Be a Millionaire! haha!! We usually do not do our date nights this way, but for some reason, it just hit the spot for both of us!

This semester of Scott's school seems far busier than last semester.
A month ago I would have said, "Well, yes, he's busy. But he's always home for dinner! And he studies at home at night! And we get to go to sleep at the same time! And we go on a date once a week! So it's actually not too bad!"
But the last few weeks I've barely seen my husband! The best time of day is when I get off work, make dinner, and then race dinner to Scott's school before it gets cold. Then we sit in the car and eat dinner together. Romantic huh! But really, it is.
Makes my day!

Sometimes on Saturday I get lucky...
and he'll study at HOME!!
It's glorious.
You better believe I sit right there next to him the whole day.

I'm sure one day I'll look back and miss the days of a clean house, dinner prepared, tons of time to waste, and silence, but I sure can't help but think that we need some more voices in this home!
(Not to mention, I need sounds that will override all the creepy noises I hear when I'm home alone)
maybe it's time for a dog :)
Or somebody come entertain me!!

Speaking of...

All these lovely girls and my Mom are coming to visit this next weekend!!!! We are having our First, official, O'Bryant girls extravaganza at my place!

That's all for now!
